Pull-ups

A classic exercise that uses your own body weight to resist the upward movement. A very difficult workout and is recommended for advanced level, as it requires a strong upper body. You could start by doing the cable pulldowns to build up strength for this.

Lateral PullDown

Lateral Pull Down focuses on the major back muscles with a bit of biceps. It’s recommended for beginners to start with the cable lateral pulldown with a wide grip. Seated Machine Row

Using the machine is great for beginners to focus on the positive and negative motion and develop a strong back. It’s one of the fundamentals to advance towards free weights. It also works the back (lats) muscle.

Medicine ball twist with squats (Low to High)

A very dynamic exercise that recreates our everyday movement and really gives the whole body an intense workout. It focuses on the back and the core muscles in doing the movements and is greatly recommended for beginners and advanced levels.

Superman

This exercise is done in a floor mat, raising the arms and the legs at the same time and holding on the top. It’s great for beginners and is a good exercise to strengthen the lower back. Complimentary to Abs exercises.

Back (Hyper) Extention

Back Extention is a great exercise that focuses on the lower back yet strengthens the buttocks and the hamstrings as well. Great to do superset with an abdominal workout as it is complimentary to it.
